A new subreddit called r/PinoyHangout and an integrated interactive map have been launched to help adults in Metro Manila, including Quezon City, find local hangouts and build platonic, offline friendships. This initiative provides a free, practical tool to combat social isolation, especially for remote workers or newcomers to the city, by making it easier to find and connect with people nearby for real-world activities. The tool is completely free to use; you can visit the r/PinoyHangout subreddit, manually select your city or general area on the interactive map (no GPS tracking), and see who is looking to meet up or check out local events.
