ERC Orders Meralco to Refund P9.5 Billion to Customers
The Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) has directed Meralco to refund P9.5 billion to its customers at an average rate of P0.3448 per kWh over a six-month period, starting soon. This refund will directly lower electricity bills for all Meralco customers in Quezon City and Metro Manila, providing significant financial relief to households and businesses. The refund will be applied automatically to customer bills over six months; no registration is required. Customers should monitor their bills for the P0.3448/kWh credit.
